Family history research

We run a five week beginners course in genealogy on a Monday morning during term time, you can enrol on this by going to the shop and clicking on the ticket or call in to the centre on a Tuesday or Friday and filling in the form. You must pay for this course before your registration is accepted.

We have access to online resource sites to enable people to search far and wide for their relatives and help is offered by our volunteers if there is a problem.

Local Maps, Street Directories and local history books are also available to see plus many copies of the Hull Daily Mail Flashback which are in the process of being catalogued and put onto our database.

We now have most of our resources in a searchable database so it is easier to find information required, be it photos, books, maps or subjects in our unique Box Files. Just ask a volunteer to help.
