Peter and Sheila Coates have visited the continent every year for the last 4 years, using their 3 weeks summer holidays to visit 310 cemeteries. During this time they have photographed ALL of the graves and the plaques of the East Yorkshire Regiment.

This has created a collection of over 6,000 photographs of the resting places of soldiers from the East Yorkshire Regiment who died during WW1.

They have also visited and photographed the Tower Hill Memorial, Plymouth Naval Memorial, Portsmouth Naval Memorial and Chatham Naval Memorial which gives us access to approximately 80,000 names of Mariners who died in WW1 & WW2. This disc is not for sale but can be searched if you come into the Carnegie Heritage.

These photographs are available from the Carnegie Heritage Centre so if you have a relative who died in either of these wars please come along to the centre on a Tuesday or Friday.

Peter is now producing D.V.D.s showing local casualties, catalogued into postcode area, from Hull and the surrounding areas of Hull.

These DVD’s are unique and cannot be found elsewhere.
